Love Shack in Johns Creek Still Open For Business

ATLANTA, GA - Feb 27, 2008 - Despite numerous news reports that the Love Shack retail store located in the community of Johns Creek will be closing, the store still remains open for business.

Last week the Mayor of Johns Creek, Mike Bodker, was quick to talk to news stations about a ruling from Judge Ural Glanville. Judge Glanville said that the Love Shack in Johns Creek doesn’t have a required 2007 business license and must close if it does not comply with city ordinances.

"We're happy with the judge's order because it vindicates that this business is operating illegally since the city's inception [Dec. 1, 2006] and brings us one step closer to either it operates in compliance under our laws or it closes its doors," said Mayor Mike Bodker.

It seems as though Mayor Bodker was a little too quick to speak to the public as The Love Shack is still open for business. Now Mayor Bodker has been spending his mornings appearing on The Regular Guys show on Rock 100.5 where he lost a debate this morning with the Roswell Mayor Jere Wood.

“How many more times are we going to go down this road with Mayor Bodker,” asked John Cornetta, owner of the Love Shack. “So many times he’s gone on the news and been incorrect. So many times he’s lied to the citizens of Johns Creek. So many times he’s said the Love Shack in Johns Creek will close and it never has. I must ask the citizens of Johns Creek yet again, how much longer will you allow your Mayor to lead you down the wrong road.”

“In an effort to reward the citizens of Johns Creek that have supported the Love Shack since we opened our doors, everything in the store will be 30% off this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.”
