There’s one businessman whose money Johns Creek doesn’t want. John Cornetta, owner of the Love Shack adult video chain, is trying to give about $3,000 to the city toward the purchase of a new firetruck. Johns Creek, which is taking Cornetta to court in an attempt to close one of his adult emporiums, has returned the check.
“I know they don’t like me,” Cornetta said. “But they’re not stopping me. I’ll buy a firetruck and man it with volunteers.” Read more »

Despite criticism that his intentions were something other than charitable, businessman John Cornetta stayed true to his pledge, donating money to Johns Creek and to the victims’ families of the recent fire tragedy.
Mayor Mike Bodker said he could not envision the City Council accepting the donation. And a letter dated Oct. 12 confirmed it. Read more »

As most of you know the Love Shack in Johns Creek has been embroiled in a legal battle with Fulton County Georgia and the new city of Johns Creek. Earlier this year Fulton County fire fighter Felix Roberts gave his life while fighting a fire in the new city of Johns Creek as did Johns Creek citizen John Callahan. Read more »

Well it seems that the mayor Mike Bodker has refused John Cornetta’s donation to help build a fire department, he further refused to participate in the dunk tank to raise money for said fire department. Read more »
